The Very Rev’d Brent Whetstone appointed to office of Liturgy.

On Monday, July 18, 2022, Archbishop Raul Toro, Jr. appointed the Very Rev’d Brent Whetstone as Director of the Office of Liturgy for the Anglican Free Communion International. Rev’d Whetstone is serves as the Canon for Communication in the Anglican Diocese of the Emmaus Way, and the rector of Our Lady of Walsingham Anglican Church in Cortland, Ohio.

The Office of Liturgy will be a resource office for the Anglican Free Communion International. Providing liturgical and teaching resources for churches all through out the communion, and developing special liturgies under the direction of the Presiding Bishop.

Rev’d Whetstone was ordained to the priesthood July 22, 2017 and serves as a healthcare chaplain in Northeast Ohio. Rev’d Whetstone holds a Master of Arts Degree in Theology (MATS) and is currently finishing his Masters of Divinity (MDiv). Upon completion of his Masters of Divinity Rev’d Whetstone will begin his Theology Masters (ThM) with an emphasis on Church History.

Rev’d Whetstone is married to his wife of 17 years, Heather, a high school teacher, and the two have five children, all of which serve in ministry at Our Lady of Walsingham.
